Royal Visit to De Montfort University Leicester

De Montfort University Leicester has been chosen to mark the start of the Queen's tour of the United Kingdom in her Diamond Jubilee.
 
Her majesty will be accompanied by his Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh and Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge.
 
During her visit the Queen will unveil plaque to mark the start of her Diamond Jubilee tour of the UK and a local family owned foundry has been commissioned to make the bronze plaque.
 
Six excited students are eagerly awaiting the arrival of Kate Duchess of Cambridge, as during the Royal visit, the six students will meet the Duchess and showcase their designs with the Duchess announcing her favourite design. The lucky winner will then have their design made into a pair of shoes for the Duchess.
 
De Montfort University's footwear design degree has also attracted praise from Jimmy Choo who has presented a master-class to students and has been presented with an honorary degree.
