Bury Invest in Former Manchester City Training Facility
Bury Football Club has announced a brand new deal to lease the former training ground of Manchester City Football Club at Carrington in Greater Manchester.
Starting on March 1st, Bury FC will take over the whole of the 22 acre site recently vacated by the reigning Premier League champions. The Carrington site will be home to the Shakers for at least the next five years and will fully branded as the new training home for Bury FC.

The deal will offer the club access to Carrington’s Premier League standard facilities offering both 6 full turf pitches and an artificial pitch, in addition to top of the range fitness, medical and performance analysis suites.
This upgrade from the club’s current single pitch facilities at the Lower Gigg training ground means that all of the club’s players, from the First Team to the youngest academy members can be catered for, helping the club to develop for the future.
Chairman of Bury FC, Stewart Day, said: “We are thrilled to have reached this agreement with Manchester City, particularly given the keen interest in a number of parties in leasing the site.
“The facility at Carrington is out of this world and it was an opportunity that we simply could not turn down. It is within easy reach of the Bury area, being situated so close to the Greater Manchester ring road, and crucially enables us to fulfil our vision of having our academy team from under 8s up, playing together at the same time.
“Whilst we have fond memories and attachments to our Lower Gigg base, the centre was not sufficient to support our long terms ambitions. Being able to have a Premier League standard training facility as our base is a signal of our very real intent to provide our staff and players of all ages with the optimum facilities to support their development and training.”
UK Car Parking Investment
With this news marking the latest significant investment in the future of Bury FC, now is an excellent opportunity to invest in the bright future of one of the UK’s oldest football clubs.
Providing a unique investment, the Bury FC Car Park investment offers purchasers a 9% NET yield assured for 24 years and an 11% annualised NET yield. Located outside of the club’s home, the JD Stadium, the spaces will be operated by the club, with a defined exit strategy in place for buyers.
