You can also take a water taxi ride, and wind your way through the reeds of the canal as it opens out into Fethiye Bay or jump on the local bus ‘Dolmus’ into town and the resorts beyond.

This lovely quiet resort is most famous for its breathtaking sunsets and welcome cooling breezes; the beach is an unspoiled 4 km stretch of sand and shingle, perfect for soaking up the sun undisturbed. Not surprisingly, Calis also has wide range of water sports on offer or you can just sit back and soak up the atmosphere and watch the sun come down over the islands.

On a Sunday there is a traditional market, offering you a vast array of products, from clothes to carpets, jewellery to household goods and wonderful spices. Fresh produce is plentiful, provided by the local farmers from the surrounding villages. Overall Calis has something to offer everyone.
