UK investors continue to buy in Cyprus
5 June 2008
The third largest island in the Mediterranean, Cyprus is coming out on top as far as investors are concerned. Its unspoilt villages and stunning scenery brings rising tourism numbers year on year and this is what a good overseas property investment is all about. With many British speaking towns and reasonable property prices UK investors continue to buy in Cyprus. Because Cyprus offers an English Law system in a stable economic environment, buying property here is akin to buying in the UK and this can give investors the comfort and security when investing their money abroad. Property prices in Cyprus have enjoyed year on year steady growth and since joining the Euro and adopting the currency, much investment and commitment by the local government has been made to develop the infrastructure of the country, this has helped boost the tourism numbers and maintain the economic stability. The two major airports serving major airlines and increasing numbers of low cost carriers are planned to receive a major refurbishment project to help with the increase expected in future passenger numbers. Already accommodating huge numbers the redevelopment is expected to further support and compliment the growing numbers of tourists from around the globe. With golfing resorts becoming ever more popular and sporting holidays being a preference for the busy executives and young thrill seekers, the luxury marina’s and 5 star golf course resorts opening up will bring new breeds of holidaymaker. With more and more of us booking our own independent travel arrangements, renting a property in Cyprus is fast becoming the way forward and whilst prices here are still very affordable, it’s definitely a property buyers market. Cyprus has a hugely diverse landscape, quaint fishing villages, beautiful beaches, majestic scenery and kilometres of unspoilt conservation land. Coupled with cosmopolitan towns and luxury marinas Cyprus has it all. ![]() Further information can be found here : |
