Why Invest in Ajman?
Ajman is one of the undiscovered Emirates and the smallests at around 260 square kilometres in size. It is located between Sharjah and Umm Al Quwain and is only 20 minutes from Dubai International Airport. Ajman’s proximity to these areas means that it has acess to two international airports and four ports. Ajman port serves over 1000 vessels per annum and is a major port in the area. Ajman is divided into the two areas of Masfout and Manama, which is situated north of the Masafi Dhaid artery. In the heart of Ajman city lies the eighteenth century fort which now opertates as a museum. One of the other main attractions for the area is the long expanse of white sandy beach which spans almost 20 miles along the Persian Gulf Coast. In addition there is the naturally formed creak in the city which is a major focal point. The Masfout area of Ajman is known for its agriculture and provides much of the local produce for the area.
Approximately 90% of the population of Ajman live in Ajman City which has seen a considerable increase in its population from an influx of people from the other neighboring Emirates of Dubai, Sharjah and other countries. Ajman was the second Emirate, after Dubai, to offer freehold property and is currently the only Emirate offering investors, of any nationality, true fully transparant freehold ownership on real estate which is an attraction for those looking to invest .
A number of projects to meet demand have been initiated by the Ajman government and New Ajman is the area developed outside the current Ajman city by the Emirates road. This emirate will also benefit greatly from the announcement of the construction of the Ajman International Airport which will host about two million passengers a year. Construction is due to commence before the beginning of 2009 and this will be in the Al Manama area of Ajman. It is projected that Airport operations will commence by 2011.
The Ajman Free Zone, established in 1988, is also important due to its strategic location close to commercial cities and within easy access of the other Emirates. The Free Zone authority was formed in 1996 and has encouraged industrial activity in the Free Zone that has resulted in quladuple growth in the number of companies attracted by the incentives offered. There are plans for further developement of an area that will accommodate 600 companies on completion.
Buying Property in Ajman
The real estate and property laws in Ajman are similar to Dubai. The law supports investors, developers and their partners. Those purchasing in Ajman can now have full ownership entitlement to their property, meaning they can sell, buy and so on with relative ease. The new law being introduced will require real estate companies, developers and investors to register at a government department.

Ajman Climate
The climate in Ajman is very dry, with minimal rainfall. The weather can vary depending on distance from the Gulf Coast. From November to April, the climate is pleasant, with warm sunny days, cool evenings and low humidity. Daytime temperatures range from 18 degrees Celsius to 30 degrees Celsius. From May to September, the summer heat and often-high humidity is similar to that of Dubai. There are occasional tropical storms from January to March.
Getting to Ajman
You can fly to Dubai International Airport at present which is approximately 20 minutes away. The other airports in the area are also close by. The Ajman international Airport is due to be opertational from 2011.
