Situated approximately 9 km above Fethiye town lies the quiet resort of Ovacik. Enjoying the spectacular mountain scenery and welcome cooling breezes in the summer, this sleepy village has many small hotels and pensions offering a quiet night’s sleep, and many mini markets where you can stock up on essentials.

Ovacik has spread along the main road which runs to Fethiye in one direction and Oludeniz with the beautiful Blue Lagoon in the other, to link up with its livelier neighbour Hisaronu. Hisaronu has a myriad of shops, bars, restaurants and night clubs. Popular with the younger set, this is the place to party the night away!

For those with the energy, there are also a wide variety of activities close at hand. Try any number of water sports from the gorgeous sandy beaches at Oludeniz, (5 minutes by local bus), go paragliding off the famous Mount Babadag or take one of the many daily boat trips and explore the area by water.

The pine forests surrounding the resort are a perfect setting for horse riding and pony trekking, walking and hiking as you escape the heat under the refreshing shade of the trees.
