Spanish Property Market Still Top of the List

Spain is to receive a £65 million boost to develop amongst other things 17 different wine routes around the country. Principal International say that as well as the huge popularity that the Spanish property market continues to achieve, the government are still looking for ways to keep on top. Spain is undoubtedly one of the leading markets when it comes to overseas investors and a mature well developed one at that.

With the exceptionally high quality structure and mineral quality of the wine that is produced in the mountain soils, there is little to beat the wine market in Spain. “This amongst many other things is what makes Spain such a popular investment”, says Sarah Heywood of Principal International, one of the UK’s leading overseas property investment experts. Spain is reported as having 1.2 million hectares of wine making land and is quoted as being the third largest producer of wine in the World, it’s no wonder ever increasing numbers of Europeans are retiring there.

In additional to this a Spanish government official has recently announced plans to develop a transport network in several of the major provinces and it is expected to be based on the London Underground system. This major improvement to the countries transport infrastructure will be good news for overseas property investors as, the more accessible the country becomes the more the tourism will develop. Principal International say they are confident the Spanish property market will continue to grow and develop especially with the constant evolution it displays.

Ryanair, the low cost budget airline, have recently announced plans to increase its routes to include three more daily flights from the north of the UK to Alicante as well as introducing the Bournemouth to San Javier route. Aer Lingus have also improved accessibility from Ireland to parts of Spain and Portugal.

There is no doubt that Spain is a very mature property and tourist market, it provides all of the support services to make it a booming but sophisticated investors market.
