Spain is still the number one property hotspot for the UK investor seeking a good return on their money. Leading currency specialists HiFX say that the nearby European locations are still where the Brits are choosing to spend their money. Homeowner loans taken out by the Brits in the latter part of 2006 were made up of a staggering 55% of the total just for the purchase of Spanish property and one of its neighbouring countries. The favourable exchange rate continues to give confidence to those buyers that see overseas property investment as the way to go. Despite the popularity of some of the more obscure Eastern European destinations, there continues to be many many bargains to be had in the traditional and non traditional Spanish resorts, both costal and inland. These locations continue to be wise investments for the keen property buyer as well as providing secure investments for holiday homes, retirement properties and a much more secure pension fund. The Brits feel safe investing in Spain as the market is established and the close proximity to the UK means we can see and touch our investment more easily. The economy in Spain is sound and continues to a show steady growth, this is not a diminishing market and overseas property investors cannot lose. This coupled with the strong Euro makes for a healthy return on your money. Further information can be found here : |
